Privacy.

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Visitor numbers and loading times are measured anonymously — without recognising individual people, and without passing anything to third parties. What is collected, and why, is set out here.

01

Controller

The controller for data processing on this website, within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is:

Paul Gerhard Itjeshorst
Living My Dreams
Geschwister-Scholl-Straße 14
40667 Meerbusch, Germany
Telephone: +49 2132 758347
Email: hello@living-my-dreams.io

No data protection officer has been appointed, as the legal conditions requiring one do not apply here.

02

The basic position

This website is deliberately sparse. No cookies are set, no advertising networks are embedded, no profiles are built, and no content is loaded from other companies’ servers. Fonts and images are served entirely from our own server — so visiting this site creates no connection to Google Fonts or any comparable service.

What is measured is visitor numbers and loading times, and that is done without cookies and without recognising individual people. The details are in section 04. Because nothing is stored on your device or read from it, this website needs no cookie banner.

There is no contact form, no user account and no newsletter. You can read this entire website without actively sending us anything.

03

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, through their data centres in the European Union. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. Where data is transferred to the USA, that transfer is based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

When a page is opened, the server automatically logs the access data your browser transmits:

  • the IP address of the requesting device
  • the date and time of the request
  • the name and URL of the file retrieved
  • the volume of data transferred, and whether the request succeeded
  • the browser used and its version, and the operating system
  • the page visited beforehand (referrer), where transmitted

This processing is technically necessary in order to deliver the website and to keep it running safely and reliably. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and uninterrupted operation of this website. This data is not combined with other sources and is not analysed for marketing purposes. The log data is deleted automatically after a short period.

04

Visitor numbers and loading speed

To see whether this website is being found, and whether it loads quickly enough for the people visiting it, we use two tools provided by our hosting company: Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights.

What is recorded is the page opened, the referring page, country, browser and device type, together with technical measurements of loading speed and of how stable the page is as it renders.

Three points matter for understanding what this means:

  • No cookies are set, and no data whatsoever is stored on your device or read from it.
  • There is no recognition of you across several visits, or across other websites. To tell one visit from another, an anonymous check value is derived from technical details of the request; it changes daily and cannot be traced back to a person. No usage profiles are created.
  • Both tools are served from this domain itself. Your browser therefore establishes no connection to an outside provider. The only recipient of the data is Vercel, acting as our processor (see section 03).

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in being able to judge and improve the reach and the technical quality of this website. Since no information is stored on your device or read from it, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required.

You may object to this processing at any time (Article 21 GDPR) — an informal email is enough. Because the measurement works without recognising anyone, any common script or tracking blocker will also prevent it reliably.

05

Getting in touch by email or telephone

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the details you provide — such as your name, email address, telephone number and the content of your enquiry — solely in order to deal with your request.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

We delete this data once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, provided no statutory retention obligations prevent it. Business correspondence is subject to commercial and tax retention periods of six and ten years respectively.

06

Links to our clients’ websites

In the “Selected works” section we link to third-party websites. If you follow one of those links, you leave this website. The operators of those sites are solely responsible for the data processing that happens there, and their own privacy notices apply.

07

Your rights

You have the right, at any time, to

  • access the data held about you (Article 15 GDPR),
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16 GDPR),
  • have data erased (Article 17 GDPR),
  • have processing restricted (Article 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Article 20 GDPR), and
  • object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Article 21 GDPR).

An informal email to hello@living-my-dreams.io is enough.

Independently of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR). The competent authority here is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

08

Encryption

This website is served exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Data you transmit while visiting this site cannot be read by third parties.
